Our core technology (HVJ-E technology) is a kind of vector system (carrier/drug delivery system) for gene and nucleic acid medicines. It is invented by Professor Yasufumi Kaneda, CiDER Exective Adviser (Former Senior Executive Vice President) of Osaka University. HVJ-E technology enhances the cellular immunity of the body by activating intracellular nucleic acid receptor RIG-I (Retinoic acid Inducible Gene-I). HVJ-E technology is a platform technology in the field of advanced medicine that uses gene, nucleic acid and cell-based therapies. We are developing innovative immunotherapeutic drugs means of this technology. We aim to overcome incurable diseases that treatments are insufficient with existing drugs; e.g. cancers that are resistant to existing immunotherapy and chemotherapy, and drug-resistant infections disease.
